Our Programs
Ballet
Ballet classes are the foundation for training and focus on developing a solid ballet technique with emphasis on understanding correct body placement, proper use of turn out, coordination of the upper body (epaulement), and use of arms (port de bras).
Tap
Tap is all about the rhythm! Students will concentrate on the basics, progress to combination steps, then be challenged with more advanced rhythms and turns. Tap is a terrific coordination builder. This class is full of current urban flavored music and choreography.
Lyrical
Lyrical dance combines elements of ballet and jazz to create a soft style that emphasizes the storytelling quality of music. An emphasis is placed on grace and fluidity, musicality, and expressiveness to capture emotion through movement.
Musical Theatre
Musical Theatre class is an exploration of American Musical Theatre. Students will study the work of the actor/singer/dancer and use their gained knowledge to develop as performers. ... There will also be a focus on the audition process as well as musical theatre history and repertoire.
Pointe
All pointe classes are designed for students with previous ballet training. Students will utilize previously learned ballet technique while working in pointe shoes. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work and across the floor combinations. These exercises focus on strengthening the feet and ankles.
Jazz
Jazz class will focus on learning proper dance technique such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz such as Broadway, Street and Contemporary to help develop a well rounded dancer.
Acro
Acro is for students looking to add tricks and skills to their repertoire. This class will include some jazz techniques as well.
